Blogging from my iPhone

so far I have nothing but love for my iPhone. The design and usability have been nearly flawless. And now it seems like I have one more thing to add to the list...it appears I can easily blog via my iPhone. Today I am at the Interesting New York Conference @ FIT. It is an all day event (10am-6pm). The topics will be random it was billed as interesting people talking about topics they find interesting. I will post more as people say interesting things.

Week 1 in the Fantasy NFL

The NFL kicks off this weekend and so does my focus on the Bears and my Fantasy Football Team. This year I chose a less profane name, Cookie Monster, for my team in the hopes to change some of my Fantasy luck.  The past 2 seasons team "Spunk Bubble" has had early season injuries which has killed any chances to make a playoff run.

The Cookie Monster moniker comes from my nickname at my regular underground poker club. The nickname is not becuase I am a crazy man with the chips but becuase almost evertime I play I walk in with a tub of wholefoods chocolate chip cookies.  The picture below is my icon for my fantasy team and is a scene from Family Guy and I can relate becuase yes, I have tried to freebase chocolate chip cookies.

Yahoo! has done a great job with revamping the fantasy football site.  The draft had some nifty effects and so far the site has been pretty user friendly.  I worked at Yahoo! for a short time and met some of the product team and know how didicated they are to providing a great user experience.  So for they have done a great job.

The Reason For Being

This blog is an area for me to aggregate stuff I find interesting or just random stuff I find funny/stupid/strange.  Hopefully, I will be able to post and link to things that are interesting to read and I will be able to add come commentary that is worth reading.

As you can see from the links to the right I frequent some very different sites.  Some are personal blogs of friends while others are professional blogs about technology or new media.  This blog will be all of that and hopefully more.  I am not a professional or accomplished writer and so it will probably take some some time to get use to doing this on a consistent basis.  In the beginning, I will not be all that concerned with quality, in that I will not spend a ton of time word smithing every post, but rather get stuff up so I can get into the habit of writing and hopefully quality will follow.
